Milk Quality

The Milk Quality Online Course will cover basic milk parlor and mastitis management principles lead by the Quality Milk Production Services (QMPS). It is intended for dairy business on-farm personnel (owner or employee) seeking to increase their knowledge of milk quality management. Participants should possess a formal or informal background in general dairy cattle management.

Reproductive Management (taught in English)

This course is for dairy business on-farm personnel seeking to increase their knowledge of dairy reproductive management.  Learn the basics of reproductive management then quickly build from there.  Topics will include: Anatomy and Physiology, Synchronization Protocols, Breeding Strategies, A.I. Techniques, Monitoring Reproductive Programs, Heifer Reproduction Management. 

Spanish Reproductive Management (taught in Spanish)

Este curso es para personal en el negocio lechero buscando aumentar su conocimiento de gerencia reproductiva de vacas. Aprende los básicos de gerencia reproductivo y rápidamente aumentar de ahí. Temas incluidos: Anatomía y Fisiología, Protocolos de sincronización, Estrategias de reproducción, Técnicas de I.A. (inseminación artificial), Monitoreando programas reproductivos, Gerencia reproductiva de becerras.

Calf & Heifer Management

This course is for dairy business on-farm personnel (owner or employee) seeking to increase their knowledge of calf and heifer management. Participants should possess a formal or informal background in dairy cattle management, but not necessarily in calf and heifer management.

Forage Management

This course will begin with agronomic factors that influence forage quality and follow key strategies for harvest, preservation and feedout of quality feed. It will be valuable for decision makers and key employees in the cropping and feeding system on the farm. 

Transition Cow Management

This course is for dairy business on-farm personnel seeking to increase their knowledge of dairy transition cow management.  Learn the basics of transition cow management then quickly build from there.  Topics will include: Transition Cow Physiology/Biology, Nutritional Strategies for Transition Cows, Fresh Cow Health Management, Metabolic Disease, Non-nutritional Management, and Monitoring Health.
