This annual conference provides an opportunity for dairy producers, veterinarians, feed industry representatives, and agriservice personnel to increase their knowledge of current herd health and nutrition management techniques while interacting with other professionals.
NYS DAIRY LEADER Programs
Mentoring dairy youth has been a flagship program area since the inception of PRO-DAIRY and is critical to build the next generation of farm owners and managers.
NYS Junior DAIRY LEADER
This one-year program explores careers in the dairy industry and offers hands-on experiential learning for a select group of youth ranging from 16 to 19 years old. Participants gain a realistic view and experience the dairy industry as a viable, profitable and progressive business sector with career opportunities and build personal and professional skills. Applications accepted annually in June.
NYS Beginning DAIRY LEADER
This program gives high school participants the opportunity to explore post-secondary agricultural education and career opportunities in a networking environment through interaction with faculty and students, college planning, and personal development.

of the over 450 Junior DAIRY LEADER graduates attend college, and many choose to study agriculture. Prior to participation, over half indicated that they were not planning to study agriculture, or, they were undecided.
